beautifully quirky South London tea rooms....

There are few better examples of this quaint and quirky phenomenon than South London’s ‘Le Chandelier‘, a beautifully decorated space that we stumbled across whilst reading Lynne Robinson’s rather lovely ‘Tea For Joy‘ blog, all charming, artisan and remarkably British in itself. Freshly baked pastries for breakfast, an eclectic selection of wines, lunchtime specials and of course that huge selection of specialist teas from farms in China, India, Taiwan and Japan are all served in these wonderfully gentile surroundings, underneath a spectacular array of vintage French and Italian chandelier’s that are also available to purchase.

Why can't we have high-rise buildings like that in London too?

I know America is all about thinking BIG...and you can see this BIG theme everywhere, from their SUV's to their sky scrapers.

Here's the latest high rise multipurpose building in Cha Town...trully magnificent...makes Canary Wharf look like a dwarf ;)

Do you tweet?

If you do, you most certainly got this message before:

Twitter is over capacity.

Too many tweets! Please wait a moment and try again.

I can't believe how popular this super-simple application has grown! Apparently, Londoners are leading the world in twitter-users numbers....is this because we are high-tech or just no-lifers?

National Elections & Charter flights from London2Athens

As if Aegean, Olympic Air, BA and EasyJet were not enough, Greeks are now using charter flights to visit Athens or Thessaloniki. Unfortunately these are the only 2 cities served by the government.

Hold on, did you just say government?

Haha, yes it's true! Nea Dimokratia is acting like a travel agent, all you have to do is call the numbers they've got on their website and book your ticket at the price of £50...yes it's low-cost airline as well ;)

PASOK is even more advanced. You make your reservation on-line and you pay by credit card. Papandrou is indeed looking the future!

They would do anything for a couple of votes.....are you tempted? Sure I was, but ended up staying in London. The system didn't work as smooth as mainstream airlines, the booking I tried to make was not confirmed until the last minute, I did pay but eventually I canceled...

lastminute.com is probably not such a good idea
